Metro’s Oxbow Welcome Center

Infinity Images was honored to be chosen to produce a seam-free map for the Oxbow Park Visitor Center. A back-lit SEG Display was chosen by our design team to display the beautiful illustration of Oxbow Regional Park. The wonderful aerial view was created by Ryan Sullivan from Paste In Place Design.

Challenge 1 –

Once the space was built, we were informed the frame chosen a standard 4” frame would not work due to a custom gate installation which limited clearance for the light-box.

Solution –

Our 3D team reviewed this and decided to build a custom low profile SEG frame to solve the challenge.

Challenge 2 –

The low profile frame that was chosen due to the gate limitations is only 1.5” deep, and does not allow for proper light diffusion behind the large backlit graphic.

Solution –

Our 3D team solved this by building a custom lightbox and sourced special LED lights that distribute laterally to have excellent light diffusion. A remote dimmer was added so the intensity of the lights could be adjusted by the client.

Final Product:

The Infinity Images Team solved all challenges creating a brilliant display on behalf of the client.
