In spring 2013, the international brand and retailer Columbia Sportswear scheduled a complete seasonal change out of displays and exterior graphics at their downtown Seattle location. Columbia sought a reliable partner they could task with managing the entire project: permitting, manufacturing and final installation. The refresh would include building signage, full-layered window displays and a series of window fills using second surface applied vinyl graphics.
Because Columbia was impressed with the quality and speed of the new Durst Rho 1000 technology that Infinity Images had recently acquired, they selected Infinity Images to project manage, produce and install refreshes in three different areas of the retail building in a coordinated rollout. All areas needed to be installed after hours and some materials were temperature dependent. These factors along with a complicated permit process offered many challenges for the project management team at Infinity Images.
Infinity Images more than met those permitting and weather-related challenges, delivering a large, complicated project with stellar results. The installation was conducted over the course of several nights, and resulted in an amazing transformation of the space. The second surface window panels created new, engaging vignettes for passersby, while the vivid, multilayered window displays created a buzz about the new product launch with tourists and local commuters. The commanding building-scape signage provided clear brand visibility well down Third Avenue in Seattle’s downtown corridor.
In short, Infinity Images more than rose to the challenge and produced a high-quality, high-impact refresh that completely transformed the look of the store.
